Events Happening in the Solar Industry

If you’re a solar industry professional or enthusiast, it’s important to keep up to date on all the businesses and technologies in the industry.

The World Energy Engineering Conference is happening as we speak in Washington D.C. from October 1-3. The keynote speaker was President Bill Clinton, who has become a brilliant advocate since his tenure in office. Topics addressed at this event are:

  • Renewable, green and alternative energy
  • Smart grid and electric metering innovations
  • Integrated building automation & energy management
  • Lighting efficiency
  • Solar and fuel cell technologies
  • Energy services, energy procurement and project financing

The Third International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications is from October 19-22, 2014. There’s still time to register! Topics include various aspects of sustainable energy, customer and market trends and research in the energy industry.

Solar Power International is October 20-23, 2014 in Las Vegas – the perfect spot for such a large scale event (but still close to the Silicon Valley!). It’s a large business-to-business event for the solar power field. 15,000 professionals from 75 countries attend, and they showcase their products and services. There’s over 100 hours of conferences from the Solar Energy Industries Association on critical issues in the solar energy field.

The SEIA (Solar Energy Industries Association) is hosting another event, the Nebraska Wind and Solar Conference, in La Vista from October 29-30, 2014. Rancher organizations, state agencies, public power utilities and higher education professionals gather to bring the collection of workshops to solar professionals.

For those living in the Chicagoland Area or have easy access to the McHenry area, there’s the McHenry County College Sustainability Expo on Saturday, November 1, 2014  10am-3pm. Exhibits include:
